World War II Soldier

I always thought this was taken on a beach somewhere since my uncle was in the South Pacific during the war...... But, after receiving a CD from my other Uncle recently, I figured out, it's actually a snow covered farm field in Texas sometime back in the 40's. I only know that now because there were some others taken with other family members and they have snow actually clinging to their shoes, with heavy coats on and the exact same background

Anyway, this particular Uncle always reminded me of Clark Gable. Maybe not to anyone else, but he does to me.
